☎️ What I learnt from a receptionist of 28 years!

Our amazing receptionist, Sabrina, retired after working at our company for 28 years.
☀️ When I first joined Michael Page Hong Kong 7 years ago, she was often the earliest to arrive at the office.
During the time when I am with Page, Sabrina always greets everyone with a big smile.
🔥 I have never seen her getting mad at anyone.
When she is faced with difficult clients and candidates, she can solve them calmly and keep smiling.
🥇 Her excellent work attitude is something I still need to learn from.
Let’s face it - As sales, we will definitely come across tricky and challenging clients and candidates.
👀 Whenever I receive a complaint from a client or candidate when it was not my fault, I would be mad at the unfair situation.
Sometimes I would show my anger in front of my colleagues after hanging up the phone or returning to the office after the meeting.
However, whenever I see Sabrina, she calms me down and reminds me that everything is solvable and there is no need to be angry.
🪐 She reminds me that the moment you become angry is the moment you let others take control of you.
But the correct way should be vice versa - You are in control of your emotions.
Maybe it comes with her 28 years of client facing experience.
📚 That is something I will learn by heart and forever.
