Introduction + Score
I would say this is one of the best reads of this year. Also watch her youtube if you want to have a brief summary of what this book is about

3 Things I learn
To be honest, I learnt a lot from this book. Angela expresses her idea concisely and it is very easy to follow her concept with backed examples and support.
Her concept is very straightforward and clear, unlike other self-help books that drags on and on without telling us the main points.
1) Success is never just about hard work. Perseverance matters a lot too.
I remember Angela used the example of Will Smith running in the treadmill in her book to illustrate the importance of resilience. Will Smith said there would only two things happen if they get on the treadmill - Either the other person is getting off first or he is going to die. This example showed all the hard work and resilience that Will Smith had in his acting career that led to his success,
2) I learnt to wake up earlier and became more disciplined in my daily habits.
Before reading Grit, I used to wake up late on the weekends and last minute before work on the weekdays. After reading Grit, I realised that self-discipline is paramount to achieving greatness. Looking back, I head to the gym every day to train myself. I feel fitter and stronger. It is the basic foundation that I practise daily that lead to the healthy version of who I am today.
3) It reminds me of my life purpose and values.
Angela shared an example of Warren Buffet speaking to his pilot on identifying your passionate goals.
First - write down a list of 25 career goals.
Second, circle 5 after soul-searching
Third, look at the 20 other goals - avoid these at all costs. They are what distract you and eat away time and energy. Focus on the 5 that you circled
