🌈 Everyone has potential - We just need guidance to unlock it
Thank you TEDxUST for inviting me to speak in front of the students and faculty staff yesterday night.
🎽 I used to watch TED talks while gymming
I never imagined I would be speaking in one someday.
🌞 My dream came true yesterday night.
If an ordinary girl like myself can achieve it, so can all of you - who are more capable than I am.
🌙 You just need someone to give you good directions.
Several months ago, I was approached by TEDxUST to share about resilience in this downturn economy.
🔥 In my speech I shared how doing new and creative things on top of my routine improves my business.
I was surprised my LinkedIn articles on failure and overcoming challenging times would catch the attention of TEDxUST.
📣 Hence I was invited to be one of the speakers.
Looking back, I realise all of us can win big but we lack mentors or good teachers to guide us - WHAT, WHERE and HOW
🎸 What our individual weapons are
🎸 Where to swing the axe
🎸 How to make good use of them
Our education system never tells us how to achieve this or prepare us for society.
📚 It’s our job to figure out how to survive the market.
For example, my parents and friends point out that I am quick to recognise a person’s strength and advise them on how to accelerate their life/career.
🔎 They also point out my biggest weakness is I am not attentive to details.
Once you identify your strength, remember to leverage on it to stand out from the competition - Blue Ocean Strategy (which I will share in my next article)
