I never imagined that people would enjoy reading my articles and find them useful!!
✍ After 4 months of consistent writing, I gained 4,000 followers.
I would like to thank each of your support.
I started writing on LinkedIn in April because
🔺 I wanted to do something new on top of my work (aka step out of my comfort zone - which I encourage you too)
🔺 I wanted to share my honest opinion having worked for 9 years
As you know, I love reading a lot, especially non-fiction.
📘 I seek ways to improve myself through reading.
However, over the past 9 years, I read a lot of books/articles on how to be rich or how to live a good life / good career.
The authors often offer too generic advice.
📖 For example, they would say “work hard and you will be rich”
But no one would point out to you that apart from working hard, you need to work smart.
💰 You need to sell your time in a more expensive way or leverage to make your time more valuable.
🔖 Another generic example is “Work Hard to climb the corporate ladder”
But no one would point out to you
“How to climb the corporate ladder”
“How to negotiate for a higher salary”
“How to make yourself stand out from your peers who are eyeing for the same promotion”
That’s why I started writing about life, finance and career.
My perspective might come across too candid. Sometimes it might be controversial or wrong. But I also enjoy listening to others which offer a different and interesting insight.
I hope through my sharing, you might learn a thing or two.
